Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kristoffer Rud (ranked 3584 p4p, 5440 weight class) and Malgud Khavedalov (ranked 430 p4p, 540 weight class). Rud comes to the cage accompanied by Bat Country. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malgud Khavedalov!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rud shoots in and bounces Khavedalov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rud is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rud drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rud jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rud drops back looking for a leg! Khavedalov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Khavedalov manages to kick Rud off! Rud jumps back into Khavedalov's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rud is looking to work some ground and pound but Khavedalov has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rud tries to free his leg and advance position but Khavedalov is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khavedalov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rud manages to get himself to full guard.
Rud is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Khavedalov is aware though and is defending well.
Rud is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Khavedalov frees his head nicely. Oh but Rud has switched to an armbar! Khavedalov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
