Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Higgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Dungey!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ben Hemmingworth and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins lands an overhand right.
Dungey lands with a shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Dungey.
Dungey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Higgins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Higgins throws a nice inside leg kick.
Higgins scores with a jab to the body.
No joy there for Higgins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Higgins cracks Dungey with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Higgins. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Higgins.
Higgins scores with a jab to the jaw.
Higgins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dungey scoring well with a low kick there.
Higgins throws out a powerful jab.
Higgins gets in close and tags Dungey with a short punch that almost sends Dungey to the mat! Oh Dungey is in big trouble! He turns his back on Higgins, trying to create some distance but Higgins rushes him, striking wildly and Dungey goes down! The referee tackles Higgins into the cage to end the fight! Higgins is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lou Higgins!
