The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
World keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rosenthal.

Rosenthal clinches up with World and pushes him back against the cage.
World struggles to land a body shot inside as Rosenthal controls his hands.

Rosenthal gets a trip takedown into half guard.
World wants to get back to his feet.
World tries to roll over but Rosenthal keeps him under control.
Rosenthal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

World gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rosenthal to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
World lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
World lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rosenthal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

World punishes Rosenthal's body with a nice straight punch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lemongrass Rosenthal will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

World tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rosenthal throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

enabling World to counter with a crisp jab.
World fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rosenthal checks it well.

World darts in and clinches Rosenthal up against the cage.

World throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've been informed that Rosenthal has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
World throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

World scores with a sloppy right hand. Rosenthal should have avoided that one.
World fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rosenthal on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rosenthal ducks right into an uppercut from World.
Rosenthal connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

World connects with the punch.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting World here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Rosenthal misses with a hook to the body
and World counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
World dodges the punch combination from Rosenthal.
World was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rosenthal on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

World chopping away at his opponent's legs.
World misses with a two punch combination.
Rosenthal tries to clinch but World is having none of it.
Rosenthal misses with a hook to the body
and World counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and World counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
World leaves Rosenthal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

World throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Rosenthal crashing down! Rosenthal tries to stagger back to his feet but World just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Rosenthal asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
