Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner comes into the arena with Cowboys from Hell blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Kurt Wagner has been cut.
Wagner wants to clinch.
Manhoef looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A combination from Manhoef does no damage.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wagner.
Manhoef swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Manhoef, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wagner will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Manhoef misses with a jab, cross combination.
Manhoef shoots for a double leg takedown but Wagner sprawls well. He's pushed Manhoef's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Manhoef blocks a leg kick.
No joy there for Manhoef, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Manhoef has managed to clinch.
Wagner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Manhoef avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Wagner with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Wagner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Manhoef pulls him back up using the underhooks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wagner misses with a knee to the head.
Manhoef stalling in the clinch but Wagner improves position.
Wagner wants to get back to striking at distance but Manhoef won't allow it.
Wagner with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Manhoef manages to break the clinch.
Wagner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Manhoef looks gassed!
Manhoef is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wagner asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Wagner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wagner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Wagner sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Manhoef is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Wagner throws an elbow but Manhoef slips to the side and avoids it well.
Wagner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Wagner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manhoef knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wagner is looking to take a break and control but Manhoef is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wagner is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Manhoef is trying to escape and Wagner transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Manhoef is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wagner! Very nice indeed!
