Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

TheMan shoots in and bounces Herb off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Herb wants to stand and escape but TheMan is having none of it.
Herb trying to keep a closed guard but TheMan is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Herb throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Herb holds on and takes a little breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
TheMan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
TheMan wants to stand and escape but instead Herb has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Herb stands and throws TheMan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Herb staying calm.

Herb is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, TheMan has escaped the position, nice work there.
TheMan is letting Herb control him for a moment.

An elbow from Herb crashes against the mat.
Herb looking to punish the body of his opponent here but TheMan is avoiding damage well.
TheMan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Herb trying to control the position but TheMan is working away.

Herb is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, TheMan has escaped the position, nice work there.

TheMan is looking to regain half guard here but Herb keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Herb moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Herb has control of an arm but TheMan manages to advance to Herb's back!
TheMan tries to get the hooks in deep but Herb pushed the leg off.
Herb manages to reverse the position and now he's in TheMan's guard. Nice work there by Herb.

Herb gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
TheMan moves away from the strike by Herb.
TheMan dives in and grabs Herb's left leg, looking for a takedown. Herb pushes down on TheMan's head and hops out.
TheMan tries to clinch but Herb is having none of it.
Herb throws a series of punches but TheMan moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

TheMan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Herb makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Herb.
Herb pulls TheMan in to control the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

TheMan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Herb tries to roll over but TheMan keeps him under control.

Herb makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Herb tries to clinch but TheMan is having none of it.
TheMan dives in and grabs Herb's left leg, looking for a takedown. Herb pushes down on TheMan's head and hops out.
Herb is looking to counter the offense by TheMan and move into the clinch.
Herb is looking to land body kicks.

TheMan has managed to clinch.
Herb tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
TheMan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Herb to keep the fight standing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Herb throws a big right hand that misses.
TheMan wants to stand and escape but Herb is having none of it.

Herb loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Herb postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Dean Herb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Herb slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
TheMan is breathing heavily.
TheMan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Herb stands up and beckons TheMan to his feet.

Herb throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. TheMan was covering up waiting for the punch and Herb finishes the takedown easily into guard.
TheMan is looking to stand back up but Herb counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by TheMan.

Herb is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Herb is looking to take a break and control but TheMan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

TheMan is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Herb has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! TheMan is tapping! This fight is all over!
