Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 25109 p4p, 6170 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut tries to work over Mibangon's front leg with a kick but Mibangon checks it. Buut scores with a push kick. Mibangon fails to land the takedown. Buut is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon sitting and controlling from the half guard. Buut is doing well to control the position and prevent Mibangon from advancing to side control. Buut is trying to maintain the position but Mibangon is very close to passing his half guard. Buut keeping control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mibangon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mibangon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mibangon is fighting to break Buut's control of his arms but Buut is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mibangon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Buut is controlling Mibangon's posture. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Mibangon shoots for a takedown but Buut saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And Buut responds with a good body kick, but Mibangon manages to step out the way in time. Buut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Mibangon holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mibangon is trying is best to control the position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mibangon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buut misses the shot to the body. As Buut backs away, Mibangon returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Buut performing his best blanket impression for a moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Buut goes for a double leg but Mibangon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mibangon continues to drive forward. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Mibangon feints and as Buut raises his hands in defense, Mibangon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mibangon is stalling in the full guard. Buut controlling Mibangon's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mibangon is stalling in the full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Buut holds on and takes a little breather.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown but Buut shows good takedown defense. Buut thinks about the counter body kick. Buut darts in looking for a takedown but Mibangon gets double underhooks and turns Buut into the cage. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Buut looking to score a takedown here. Mibangon is defending well but Buut drives through and ends up in Mibangon's guard. Buut wants to pass the guard but Mibangon is keeping the position. Mibangon being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mibangon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Buut is stalling in the full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut being controlled here momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Minatay Mibangon. I think Mibangon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
