The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Southall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Southall looks to land a strike but Miettinen avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Miettinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Southall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Miettinen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Southall defends well.
Southall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miettinen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
