Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joseph Hamadou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kong Ko !
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamadou shoots in and drives through. Ko sprawls well.
Hamadou shoots in for a takedown but Ko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ko moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ko connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hamadou takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ko steps in with a hook that catches Hamadou right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Ko follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Hamadou looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kong Ko !
