The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Lucan closes the distance and clinches.
Lucan wants the takedown. Nogueira is fighting it off but Lucan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nogueira's guard against the cage. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Nogueira (0) vs (2) Lucan
Lucan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nogueira swivels though and keeps the full guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lucan working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Lucan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lucan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lucan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nogueira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lucan has managed to get both his arms back between Nogueira's legs - danger averted.

Lucan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Nogueira to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lucan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Nogueira pulls down on the head and he's put Lucan to sleep! This one is all over!
