The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menday throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Junior's waist but Junior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Menday off to one side.
Menday fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice side step and Junior releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Adams Menday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Menday shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Junior counters with a head kick that drops Menday to the mat! Menday scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Menday is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adams Menday. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oh Menday is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Menday walks straight into a right hand from Junior - that's dropped him! Junior jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Menday from any more punishment! Menday complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A relieved looking Trimagasi Junior thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
