Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dong Labelle (ranked 2676 p4p, 2613 weight class) and Tommy McCork (ranked 328 p4p, 317 weight class). McCork is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alternative Ulster by Stiff Little Fingers. Tommy McCork told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dong Labelle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy McCork!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCork swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Labelle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Labelle listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
McCork with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Labelle to counter with a crisp jab.
Labelle throws a series of punches but McCork moves out of range.
Labelle connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Labelle gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Labelle lands a glancing blow to the side of McCork's head.
Labelle takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Labelle definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
McCork misses with a straight left.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Labelle lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McCork moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Labelle stuffs the takedown attempt from McCork. McCork gets slowly back to his feet.
Labelle throwing a counter right hand but McCork manages to avoid it.
Labelle ducks under a wild hook from McCork.
Labelle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McCork takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Tommy McCork has been cut.
Labelle lands a really nice looking cross but McCork seems unphased.
McCork is rocked!
Labelle drops McCork with a straight left! Oh this is bad for McCork! Labelle dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dong Labelle!
After the fight, Dong Labelle was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
