The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Tatewaki has Drago up against the cage in a clinch.
Tatewaki has Drago pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tatewaki pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Drago tumbling to the mat - Tatewaki dives into Drago's guard. Tatewaki is aware though and is defending well. Tatewaki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Drago is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drago is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tatewaki is aware though and is defending well. Tatewaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drago swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tatewaki forces his way into half guard. Tatewaki wants to take a breather but Drago is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tatewaki in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Drago tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap!
