Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Happy Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tony jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, tony jackson! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pete shoots in for a double leg but jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. jackson fails in his attempt to clinch. jackson has his takedown stuffed and Pete counters with a nice double leg into half guard. jackson is trying to maintain the position but Pete is very close to passing his half guard. jackson is looking for a sweep. Pete is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pete throwing shots but jackson is blocking nicely. Pete knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for jackson on the ground. Pete gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pete cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Very smooth. Pete in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Pete creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Pete stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pete working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pete throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pete tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. jackson is trying to control the action in half guard but Pete is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nice strikes from jackson there. Pete lands a couple of sideways elbows. Pete avoiding damage under a succession of punches from jackson. Nice strikes from jackson there. Pete will feel that in the morning. tony jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. jackson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pete counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Pete cracks jackson with a solid left hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Happy Pete showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pete, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
