Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paiwia throws the left hand but Alves avoids the punch easily.
Alves checks the leg kick nicely there.
Alves tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Alves moves out of range as Paiwia strikes.
Paiwia swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Alves feints the counter takedown.
Paiwia misses with a straight right.
Alves steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Paiwia.

After the fight, Manny Paiwia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
