PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chicken Destroyer (ranked 2072 p4p, 24709 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sapi fails with the takedown
and Destroyer counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Wala Sapi has been cut.
Sapi needs to keep his hands up - Destroyer had a free shot at his head there.
Destroyer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sapi shoots in for a takedown but Destroyer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Destroyer was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sapi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Destroyer as he jumps to the side.
Chicken Destroyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi.

Destroyer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Destroyer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A looping hook to the body misses from Destroyer. Sapi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sapi thinks about the counter body kick.

Destroyer cracks Sapi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Destroyer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sapi to stand back up!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sapi ducks into an uppercut from Destroyer and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
