Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kodiyak Redd (ranked 302 p4p, 253 weight class) and Robbie Hall (ranked 16 p4p, 12 weight class). Hall is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Andy Shauf: The Magician. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kodiyak Redd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Hall!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redd looks to throw the jab but Hall is out of range.
Redd throws a looping overhand right but Hall ducks down to avoid it.
Hall closes this distance looking for a takedown but Redd circles away.

Hall fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Redd to the ground. Hall is now in Redd's guard.
Redd looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Redd is looking for a triangle here but Hall uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hall looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Redd rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hall's guard! Nice work there by Redd!

Redd has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hall is not content to let Redd control the position.
Hall tries to buck Redd off but Redd is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hall is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Redd tries to move to mount but Hall blocks the move with his legs.
Hall is not content to let Redd control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Redd misses with a two punch combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kodiyak Redd dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Hall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Redd.
Hall with the counter takedown but Redd avoids it easily.
Redd ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hall moves away.
Hall is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Some bone on bone action there as Hall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hall shoots in looking for a takedown. Redd tries to sprawl out of it but Hall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Redd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kodiyak Redd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Hall.

Nice sprawl there from Redd as Hall shoots in.
A little feinted left hand from Redd on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Redd misses with a body shot.
Hall swats away the attempt to clinch by Redd.
Hall tries to counter by closing the distance.
Redd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Redd quickly recovers to half guard.

Robbie Hall has got the better of the ground game so far.

Redd wants to control but Hall is keeping busy.
Redd is not content to let Hall control the position.

Hall is looking to advance position but Redd won't allow it.

Hall seems to be working for a kimura but Redd defends the submission attempt.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hall is taking a breather. Redd says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Redd stuffs the takedown attempt from Hall. Hall gets slowly back to his feet.
Hall has his takedown stuffed
and Hall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hall slips a jab from Redd.
Hall feints the counter takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Redd is defended easily by Hall.
Hall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Redd counters with a nice uppercut.

Redd rushes Hall and presses him up against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hall.
Redd swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Redd fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kodiyak Redd dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Redd closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hall wants to get back to his feet but Redd is dominant here and he's now got Hall's back!
Redd gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Redd tries to keep control of the position but Hall is staying busy.
Redd lands strikes to the head.
Hall tries to escape but Redd has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Redd wants to control the position but Hall frees himself and scrambles - Redd manages to regain control in side control.
Redd tries to move to mount but Hall blocks the move with his legs.
Hall is pushing Redd's head away, looking to escape. Redd manages to hold on to the position though.

Redd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
Redd tries to advance to mount but Hall instead regains half guard.
Hall is trying to maintain the position but Redd is very close to passing his half guard.
Redd content to control rather than advance.
Hall has his hands clasped together around Redd's back. He's all about the action.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hall is staying active underneath Redd, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hall trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Robbie Hall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Redd can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hall is looking to escape.
Redd pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

You get the feeling that Hall really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Redd tries to control but Hall wriggling away.
Hall slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Hall is looking for a sweep. Redd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Redd is keen to just control but Hall is a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hall trying to control but Redd postures up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Redd lands a nice short elbow.
Hall is trying to get back to full guard.
Hall wants to control but Redd is keeping busy.
Hall is in trouble now - Redd has advanced to mount!

Hall is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kodiyak Redd showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Redd has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
