Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Silas T Berry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zhao Ming!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ming leaves Berry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Berry misses with a takedown attempt - Ming sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ming raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Ming tries to clinch but Berry is having none of it.
Berry drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ming sprawls and moves away.
Ming moves in looking to clinch but Berry pushes him off.
Ming lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Berry circles away quickly and effectively.
Berry shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silas T Berry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Berry. No joy for Ming on that attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Berry gets caught flat footed, as Ming shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Berry bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ming's guard.

Ming controls Berry momentarily but Berry frees himself.

Ming has his foot on Berry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Berry works his way back into a safe position though.
Berry distracts Ming with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berry trying to control but Ming is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berry passes into half guard.
Berry slows the pace down in half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ming is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Berry has latched onto it... Big trouble! Berry pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Ming is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Berry!
