Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zekariays Solomon (ranked 274 p4p, 488 weight class) and Oscar Gage (ranked 47 p4p, 77 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zekariays Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gage!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gage moves away.
Gage tries to clinch up but Solomon circles away and keeps his distance.

Gage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Solomon sprawls well initially but Gage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gage with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Let's hope that Gage has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Solomon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gage wants to control from the top but Solomon keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Gage is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Solomon is aware though and is defending well.

Gage looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Solomon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Gage has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Solomon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gage seems to have recovered his senses.

Solomon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gage throws a big shot that misses.
Solomon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gage.

Solomon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Solomon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
