This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 1 losses; Jonathas Araujo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 4 losses; Mason Island!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Araujo shoots in for a takedown but Island shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Araujo sets himself, and Island steps forward looking for the clinch! Araujo avoids it this time.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Island has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
