The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovanov lands an overhand right.
Lovanov cracks Riker with a right hand to the side of the head.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Lovanov and Riker goes tumbling to the canvas! Lovanov follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like William Riker has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Well, if Lovanov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Riker is controlling Lovanov's trapped leg to prevent Lovanov from advancing to side control.

We've been hearing good reports from Riker's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Lovanov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Riker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Riker thows a huge punch but Lovanov dodges it nicely.
Riker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lovanov wants to get back to full guard but Riker has mounted him!
Riker avoids the attempt from Lovanov to control.

Lovanov tries to hold on but Riker postures up.
Riker postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lovanov looks a forlorn figure.
Riker landing strikes from the mount and Lovanov is in trouble!
