And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Scott!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Scott misses with a wild body shot.
Rogers keeps the fight on the outside.

Rogers drives through and clinches with Scott against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Scott.
Rogers misses with a body punch.
Scott jumps guard but Rogers stands there with Scott around his waist. Scott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rogers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Rogers counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Scott wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rogers is looking for a kimura but Scott is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rogers to get the leverage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Rogers darts in and clinches Scott up against the cage.

Scott is nestled in close to Rogers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rogers tries to get to full guard but Scott has control of the leg.

Scott seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rogers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rogers kicks Scott off and gets back to his feet.

Scott clinches but Rogers breaks the clinch
and Rogers counters with a slapping leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rogers.

Rogers shoots in and bounces Scott off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Scott keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Scott can't find room to land a body shot as Rogers controls the action.
Rogers drops down looking for an ankle pick but Scott pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rogers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Scott's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Scott manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rogers's best efforts.
Rogers thows a huge punch but Scott dodges it nicely.
Rogers blocks the strikes from Scott.
Scott is pressing down on Rogers's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rogers scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Scott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
