Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Okafor (ranked 14 p4p, 20 weight class) and Mantak Garuda (ranked 4 p4p, 5 weight class). Garuda comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Djiin Djiin kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mantak Garuda has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Okafor's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okafor blocks a jab.
Garuda looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Okafor throwing a counter right hand but Garuda manages to avoid it.
Garuda fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Okafor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

It looks like Mantak Garuda has been cut.
Garuda throws a leg kick
and Garuda takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Garuda connects with the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garuda misses the body punch
and Okafor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Okafor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Garuda has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circle, before Garuda throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Okafor's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Garuda lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
