Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rasmus Reedtz (ranked 78 p4p, 371 weight class) and Damian Tonon (ranked 16 p4p, 56 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rasmus Reedtz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damian Tonon!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reedtz staying out of range there.
Reedtz misses with a wild body shot.
Tonon is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Reedtz with a body shot.
Tonon misses the shot to the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Reedtz.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reedtz is looking to take a break and control but Tonon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reedtz working the head with strikes.
Tonon wants to control but Reedtz postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reedtz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Reedtz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tonon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee asks Reedtz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Reedtz prefers to stall for the moment though.
Tonon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Reedtz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Reedtz slips a nice elbow through Tonon's hands, connecting with Tonon's forehead.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reedtz in particular looking to stall.
Reedtz throwing shots but Tonon is blocking nicely.
Well, if Reedtz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tonon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Reedtz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tonon tries to clinch but Reedtz is having none of it.

Reedtz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tonon keeps working.

Reedtz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Tonon seems a little lost for a moment, as Reedtz dominates the positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reedtz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Reedtz misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Tonon scores with a jab.
Tonon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reedtz.
Damian Tonon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reedtz dives in and scores a takedown into Tonon's guard.
Reedtz wants to control from the top but Tonon keeps moving.
Reedtz slips nicely into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Tonon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reedtz moves away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Tonon. Reedtz does a little dance to reset his feet.

Tonon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reedtz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've been hearing that Reedtz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Reedtz cracks Tonon with a solid left hand.
Our spies down at at Gym inform us that Tonon has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Reedtz controls from within his opponent's guard.
Reedtz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Reedtz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Tonon just misses with a punch to the body.

A close second round but Damian Tonon will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Reedtz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tonon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Reedtz's head.

Reedtz cracks Tonon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Tonon rushes Reedtz and presses him up against the cage.
Tonon gets underhooks to prevent Reedtz's takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tonon tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Tonon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tonon lands a jab to the nose.
Reedtz moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reedtz scores with a nice head shot.

Reedtz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tonon quickly recovers to half guard.
Reedtz is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Reedtz wants to pass the guard but Tonon is defending well.
Reedtz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Reedtz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Tonon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reedtz is working away from the top position though.

Reedtz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tonon defends it well.
Tonon is doing well to control the position and prevent Reedtz from advancing to side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Reedtz looks to land a body kick but Tonon moved away.
Tonon misses with a right hand
and Reedtz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tonon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Tonon throws an overhand right that lands on Reedtz's shoulder, as Reedtz tries to avoid the shot.
Tonon throws a hook but Reedtz blocks it.
Reedtz shoots in for a double leg but Tonon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reedtz digs a good body shot into Tonon's ribs.
Reedtz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Reedtz throws a low kick, looking for Tonon's leg but Tonon calmly moves out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reedtz throws a sloppy head kick and Tonon moves out of range easily.

Tonon lands with a hook. Reedtz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Tonon tries to clinch up.
Reedtz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tonon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Reedtz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Reedtz wants to control from the top but Tonon keeps moving.
Tonon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Reedtz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Reedtz content to stall in guard here.
Rasmus Reedtz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Reedtz trying to control the position from guard on top but Tonon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reedtz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Tonon controls Reedtz momentarily but Reedtz frees himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Reedtz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Rasmus Reedtz has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A leg kick checked by Tonon.
Tonon lands a jab to Reedtz's midsection.
Reedtz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tonon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Reedtz with a nice calf kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rasmus Reedtz.
I think Reedtz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
