Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darius Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Kenard!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenard darts in looking for a takedown but Hayes gets double underhooks and turns Kenard into the cage.
Kenard doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Hayes counter with a right hand.
Kenard misses with a takedown attempt
and Hayes counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Darius Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Kenard.
Kenard rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hayes counters with a nice uppercut.
Hayes stuffs the takedown attempt from Kenard. Kenard gets slowly back to his feet.
Hayes is looking to counter punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kenard connects with an inside leg kick.

Kenard darts in looking for a takedown but Hayes gets double underhooks and turns Kenard into the cage.
Hayes appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Kenard moves to clinch but Hayes breaks away
and Hayes counters with a left to the body.
Hayes leaves Kenard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Hayes misses the target.
Kenard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hayes circles away.
Kenard throws a head kick that misses.

and Hayes counters with a left and a right that stings Kenard.
Kenard looks winded!
Kenard has his takedown stuffed
and Hayes counters with a nice uppercut.
Kenard is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hayes lands a big right hook! Kenard looks hurt but is still standing! Hayes lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Kenard falls down and Hayes dives in with a huge hammer fist! Kenard's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Hayes runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Darius Hayes!
