The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsonov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Laurent looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Laurent takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Laurent looks gassed!
A solid leg kick lands there for Samsonov.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Samsonov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Samsonov steps into range and cracks Laurent with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Laurent flops backwards and Samsonov dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Jean Paul Laurent has been cut.
Samsonov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Laurent is working an open guard so Samsonov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Samsonov fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Laurent to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Laurent looks to clinch but Samsonov throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Laurent taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
