Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leo Midland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shufoji Lomas!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midland instigates a clinch.
Lomas blocks the elbow strike.
Midland's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lomas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Midland gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Midland pushes off an throws an elbow but Lomas leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Lomas tries to pull guard but Midland holds him up against the cage and eventually Lomas drops back down to his feet.
Midland's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lomas takes the fight into the clinch.
Our sources have told us that Midland has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Midland manages to break the clinch.
Midland fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lomas, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Midland misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lomas is trying to drag Midland to the mat but Midland just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lomas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Midland just stands there and leans against the cage.
Leo Midland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shufoji Lomas.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Midland gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lomas avoids a wild elbow strike from Midland.
Midland keeps control of Lomas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Midland pushes Lomas back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Midland lands a damaging elbow.
Lomas takes an elbow to the forehead.
Midland blocks an uppercut.
Midland lands a nice elbow.
Midland misses with a punch to the body.
Lomas successfully pulls guard.
Lomas has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Midland doesn't defend quickly enough and Lomas has managed to lock this one up! Can Midland escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lomas on a fantastic submission victory.
