Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Destin Craven (ranked 890 p4p, 1798 weight class) and Hobo Garrincha (ranked 53 p4p, 111 weight class). Hobo Garrincha has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Destin Craven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hobo Garrincha! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Craven will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Garrincha swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Craven tries a head kick but it misses.
Garrincha moves out of range of the strikes. Garrincha throws the left hand but Craven avoids the punch easily. Craven avoids the body shot from Garrincha.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Craven. Garrincha tries to bench press Craven off him but Craven keeps the position. Garrincha holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Craven landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Craven scores with a couple of short elbows. Craven is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Garrincha knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Craven is trying to get an arm triangle but Garrincha is defending well. Craven tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Garrincha felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Craven landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Garrincha tries to get back to half guard but can't. Craven misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garrincha manages to get back to half guard. Garrincha actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Craven not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Craven winds up and cracks Garrincha with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Garrincha is trying to control but can't.
Garrincha tries to get to full guard but Craven has control of the leg. Craven is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Garrincha to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Garrincha is adopting a defensive guard. Garrincha keeping full guard, as Craven tries to pass. Craven connects with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Craven in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Craven wants to control from the top but Garrincha keeps moving. Craven postures up.
We've been hearing that Craven has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Craven wants to control from the top but Garrincha keeps moving. Garrincha is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Craven is aware though and is defending well. Garrincha looking for a guillotine here but Craven defends easily.
Garrincha throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Craven escapes and throws Garrincha's legs to the side, diving into side control! Craven advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garrincha is desperately trying to improve his position but Craven has a good base and remains in mount. Garrincha tries to hold on but Craven pushes him away. Garrincha is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Craven is staying active. Craven is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Garrincha is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Garrincha flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Craven anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Garrincha and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Craven slips an arm under Garrincha chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Craven has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Craven is squeezing on Garrincha like an anaconda would it's prey. Garrincha fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Destin Craven! Destin Craven was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
