Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Novaes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pinto Brochado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Novaes comes to the cage accompanied by Racionais Mc's - Capítulo 4 Versículo 3. Pinto Brochado is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Novaes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pinto Brochado! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brochado misses with a few strikes there.

Brochado fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Novaes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Novaes shoots in but no luck this time. Novaes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brochado circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Novaes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Novaes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brochado sprawls well initially but Novaes persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Brochado wants to get back to his feet.
Novaes tries to pass to full mount but Brochado defends it. Brochado looks like he's trying to stand up.
Novaes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Novaes trying to control the action but Brochado is working from the bottom. Brochado tries to kick Novaes off but Novaes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Brochado looks gassed!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brochado lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Novaes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Novaes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Brochado goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Novaes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Brochado can't keep his opponent in guard - Novaes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Brochado is in trouble now - Novaes has advanced to mount! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Brochado is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brochado is squirming around, avoiding Novaes's attempts to control the action. Novaes has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Brochado is forced to tap!
