Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tad Reeves (ranked 4178 p4p, 4008 weight class) and Julius Kaepernick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reeves shoots in and gets a takedown into Kaepernick's guard.
Reeves won't allow Kaepernick to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kaepernick is on top in guard.

Reeves on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reeves tries to get out of the position.
Kaepernick working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reeves's head.
Reeves wants to stand up but Kaepernick is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaepernick makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kaepernick is in close to Reeves's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Reeves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kaepernick defends well.

Kaepernick drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaepernick jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reeves is breathing heavily.
Kaepernick postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Reeves covers up, he's hurt! Kaepernick keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Kaepernick and the ref steps in to end the fight! Kaepernick can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
