Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1122 p4p, 1294 weight class) and The Royal Savage (ranked 150 p4p, 174 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, The Royal Savage!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage lands with an uppercut that bounces Shima off the cage and back into range.
The Royal Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shima keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Savage moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Shima goes down! Can Savage finish him!?

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Savage.
Come on Shima - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Shima lands a right hand.
Shima is working Savage over against the cage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Savage.

Shima drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Savage gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tetsuo Shima. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Savage goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Savage lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Savage lands a nice looking body shot.
Shima defending well as Savage loads up on a big left hand.
Savage paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Savage throws a shot from downtown. Shima moves away and avoids it.
Shima tried to counter with a leg kick but Savage avoided it.
BOOM! Savage lands a beautiful left hook that drops Shima. Shima tries to recover but Savage is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Shima lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Royal Savage!
