Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theros Ironfeld (ranked 941 p4p, 1268 weight class) and Meltdown Miettinen (ranked 124 p4p, 158 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Theros Ironfeld! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Meltdown Miettinen! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ironfeld fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Miettinen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ironfeld throws a jab but it's blocked by Miettinen. Ironfeld fails to land with a series of punches.

Ironfeld tries to keep at a distance but Miettinen has taken the fight into the clinch. Miettinen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Miettinen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ironfeld has picked Miettinen up - he's going for a ride! Ironfeld dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Miettinen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Miettinen wants to stand but Ironfeld is controlling the position. Miettinen has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Ironfeld is on him like a limpet, forcing Miettinen back against the cage. Ironfeld tightens his grip and picks Miettinen up, before dumping him to the ground. Miettinen manages to land in guard. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Miettinen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ironfeld swivels and escapes. Meltdown Miettinen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ironfeld misses with a straight right. Miettinen shoots in for a double leg but Ironfeld sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ironfeld throws a right and a left that both miss. Miettinen throws a counter combo. Ironfeld misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He's pushed Miettinen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Miettinen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. and Miettinen counters with a left and a right that stings Ironfeld. Ironfeld leaves Miettinen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ironfeld scores with a jab. Miettinen acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Miettinen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Miettinen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Miettinen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ironfeld with a flurry of punches that miss. Ironfeld throwing strikes but missing. Ironfeld tries to free his leg and advance position but Miettinen is retaining full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ironfeld trying to control but Miettinen is working from the bottom. Miettinen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ironfeld can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Theros Ironfeld showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ironfeld, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Theros Ironfeld! A determined Theros Ironfeld didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
