Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Towns (ranked 2909 p4p, 5452 weight class) and Andrew Callaghan Iv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Towns has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Towns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Callaghan Iv! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Towns shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Callaghan Iv counters with a one-two to the body. Towns fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Towns shoots in but Callaghan Iv avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Towns. That's going to take a lot out of him. Towns moves into the clinch. Towns is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Callaghan Iv to keep the fight standing. Callaghan Iv pulls guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Callaghan Iv looking for a sweep. Not yet Callaghan Iv, not yet. Towns trying to control but Callaghan Iv is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Towns has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Callaghan Iv is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Towns forces his way into half guard. Callaghan Iv is refusing to be controlled, as Towns sits in half guard. Well, if Towns is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Towns sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Callaghan Iv defending well though. Towns is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Callaghan Iv is just riding it out for now. Towns eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Towns wants to free his trapped foot but Callaghan Iv is holding on for dear life with his legs. Callaghan Iv is trying to stand back up but Towns is controlling him
Towns controlling the action here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Towns frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Towns tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Callaghan Iv in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Towns looking to control and managing it successfully. Towns trying to control but Callaghan Iv is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Towns working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Callaghan Iv really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Towns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Towns with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Towns controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Callaghan Iv is looking to get to half guard. Towns controlling from mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Towns dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Callaghan Iv fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Towns avoids it really well and circles away. Callaghan Iv stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Callaghan Iv wants it to stay on the feet. Towns showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Callaghan Iv.
Callaghan Iv pushes Towns up against the cage in a clinch. Towns tries to circle away but Callaghan Iv has him pinned against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Towns looks to throw an elbow but misses. Callaghan Iv tightens his grip and picks Towns up, before dumping him to the ground. Towns manages to land in guard. Towns uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Towns has his takedown stuffed and Callaghan Iv counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Callaghan Iv is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Callaghan Iv - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Callaghan Iv keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Towns. That's going to take a lot out of him. Callaghan Iv manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Towns on his heels. He'll look to pass Towns's guard now, I'm sure. Towns is looking to sweep but instead, Callaghan Iv has passed into half guard.

Towns wants to stand and escape but Callaghan Iv is having none of it. Towns is looking for a triangle but Callaghan Iv pushes his legs off easily.
Towns looking to hit a scissor sweep but Callaghan Iv is one step ahead there. Towns is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callaghan Iv wants to control from the top but Towns keeps moving. Towns is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Towns can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Callaghan Iv controls the pace. Towns manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Callaghan Iv manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Towns is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Towns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Towns is looking to stand up but Callaghan Iv won't let him. Towns slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Towns works over Callaghan Iv with some ground and pound from guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Towns will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Callaghan Iv takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Towns tries to clinch up. Towns wants to clinch and Callaghan Iv counters with a one-two to the body. Good leg kick by Callaghan Iv. Towns is looking to clinch but Callaghan Iv is avoiding it.

Callaghan Iv will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Callaghan Iv shoots for a double leg takedown but Towns sprawls well. He's pushed Callaghan Iv's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Callaghan Iv looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Callaghan Iv gets caught flat footed, as Towns shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Towns has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Callaghan Iv is proving hard to escape from. Callaghan Iv being controlled here, momentarily. Towns slips nicely into half guard. Towns stands up and beckons Callaghan Iv to join him on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Towns shoots in but Callaghan Iv avoids the takedown attempt easily. Callaghan Iv leaves Towns with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Towns drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Callaghan Iv tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Callaghan Iv is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Towns is looking for the choke from the back position but Callaghan Iv is controlling his hands well. Callaghan Iv trying to control the position but Towns manages to sink in the hooks. Callaghan Iv grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Towns scores with punches from the back.
Towns has good solid back control here. Callaghan Iv trying to control but not successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Towns is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Towns is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Callaghan Iv won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Towns off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jake Towns!
