The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Akakpo misses the target.
Akakpo scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Sparring Joe has been cut.
Akakpo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Akakpo lands a jab to the nose.
Kofi Akakpo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akakpo tries to clinch but Joe moves out of range.
Akakpo lands a big right hand that sends Joe crashing to the mat! Akakpo stays standing though and waves Joe back to his feet!
