Maddox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boltz can do anything to dispel that myth.
Boltz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Maddox is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boltz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
