Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 24766 p4p, 24667 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kiang shoots in and bounces Nada off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kiang slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nada has his hands on Kiang's head, controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada tries to land a sweep but no joy. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Nada is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kiang defends well. Nada seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kiang not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kiang closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nada to the mat! Nada manages to get full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kiang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kiang is looking to work some ground and pound but Nada has wrist control. Kiang content to stall in guard here. Nada trying to strike off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang content to stall in guard here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nada is controlling Kiang's posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kiang shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nada defends it nicely. Nada darts in looking for a takedown but Kiang gets double underhooks and turns Nada into the cage. A counter left hand to the body from Kiang misses its target. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kiang is fending him off so far but Nada persists. Nope, Kiang circles away and we're back to standing. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Kiang leaves Nada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nada closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang tries to bench press Nada off him but Nada keeps the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiang is letting Nada control him for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang wants to control but Nada postures up. The strikes coming from Nada are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Nada working away. Nada creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kiang sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kiang.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nada will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kiang has his takedown stuffed and Nada makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. No luck for Nada with that takedown attempt. Kiang thinks about countering with a body kick. Yawa Kiang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang shoots for a takedown but Nada saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nada counters with a body kick. Nice sprawl there from Nada as Kiang shoots in. Nada counters with a body kick. Nada fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kiang jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Kiang closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nada did well to prevent Kiang getting side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nada keeping hold of Kiang's head, controlling as best he can. Nada is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada trying to control but Kiang postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Nada gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kiang counters with a solid body kick. Nada doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kiang counters with a one-two to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kiang has Nada pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kiang pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nada tumbling to the mat - Kiang dives into Nada's guard. Nada wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kiang manages to pass to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Nada is looking to control Kiang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nada avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Well, if Kiang is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nada is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Kiang controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nada closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nada trying to control the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Yawa Kiang showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kiang has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
