Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mario Yamasaki (ranked 2258 p4p, 2741 weight class) and Andy Slappin (ranked 203 p4p, 247 weight class). The key to victory for Mario Yamasaki has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Yamasaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Slappin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slappin tries to clinch up but Yamasaki circles away and keeps his distance.

Yamasaki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Slappin under the eye.
Slappin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Yamasaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Slappin.
Yamasaki is looking to counter punch.
Slappin moves in looking to clinch but Yamasaki pushes him off.
Yamasaki was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Slappin tries to clinch but Yamasaki is having none of it.
Slappin tries to clinch up but Yamasaki circles away and keeps his distance.
Yamasaki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slappin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Slappin! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yamasaki looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Yamasaki is trying to break the clinch but Slappin has him pressed against the cage.

Slappin tries to work over Yamasaki's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Yamasaki is trying to push Slappin away but Slappin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A bit of stalling here from Slappin.
Yamasaki is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Slappin stalls.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Andy Slappin.
Slappin tries to clinch there but Yamasaki circles away.
Yamasaki misses with an uppercut.

Yamasaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Slappin.
Yamasaki is looking to counter punch.
Slappin wants to clinch up but Yamasaki keeps it at a distance.

Yamasaki connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Slappin's hands.
Yamasaki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Slappin under the eye.

Slappin instigates a clinch.
Slappin struggles to land a body shot inside as Yamasaki controls his hands.
Yamasaki being controlled against the cage.
Slappin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Yamasaki up against the cage.
Slappin continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Slappin lands an elbow inside.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Slappin tries a knee to the head but Yamasaki blocks it.
Yamasaki blocks an elbow strike from Slappin.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mario Yamasaki will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

A punch lands to the side of Slappin 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Slappin is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!
Yamasaki throws a pinpoint strike between Slappin's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Slappin crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Yamasaki scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mario Yamasaki!
A very excited looking Mario Yamasaki rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
