Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Big Russian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Long Zono!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russian throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zono stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Zono takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Zono tries for a takedown but Russian circles away easily
and Russian counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zono is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zono shoots and misses
and Russian counters with a crisp right that sends Zono to the canvas! Russian follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Big Russian!
