Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eoin Chai (ranked 2456 p4p, 2495 weight class) and Daniel Gable (ranked 322 p4p, 323 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Eoin Chai has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eoin Chai seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eoin Chai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Gable! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gable has his takedown stuffed and Chai counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Daniel Gable has been cut. Gable tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Chai is looking to counter punch. Chai stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chai wants it to stay on the feet. Chai is looking to counter with a body kick. We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Gable misses with a takedown attempt and Gable takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Eoin Chai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Gable. Gable will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gable darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gable perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gable is looking for a kimura here.
Gable wants to pass to mount but Chai is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gable content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Chai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gable on the ground. Gable is trying to control. Chai wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gable sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chai defending well though. Gable not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gable wants to work for an arm triangle but Chai is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gable is working for a kimura but Chai is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gable is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gable sitting and controlling from the half guard. Gable is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gable has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gable is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gable is looking to take a break and control but Chai is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gable in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Chai tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gable!
