Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom DeBlass (ranked 2998 p4p, 4485 weight class) and Wang Lei (ranked 409 p4p, 525 weight class). Tom DeBlass could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Wang Lei's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom DeBlass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wang Lei! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lei gets caught napping as DeBlass dives in and scores a takedown. Lei manages to retain guard. DeBlass is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lei can do anything to dispel that myth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeBlass pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lei is keeping the position for now. DeBlass seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. DeBlass definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lei keeping full guard, as DeBlass tries to pass.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lei cracks a nice hook into DeBlass's ribs. Lei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. DeBlass throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lei's waist but Lei gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing DeBlass off to one side. DeBlass takes one to the chin there. DeBlass bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lei gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! DeBlass controlling his opponent. DeBlass prevents Lei from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeBlass takes Lei's back. DeBlass has good solid back control here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeBlass looking for the choke but no joy. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. DeBlass working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Lei is doing well to defend. DeBlass seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Lei is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tom DeBlass! The defeated Wang Lei had this to say: 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors - gimme a deal, I wanna help you.'.
