The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeCoteau keeps the fight on the outside.
DeCoteau was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've been hearing reports that DeCoteau has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Okafor lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Caleb DeCoteau has been cut.
Okafor closes the distance looking to clinch
and DeCoteau counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
DeCoteau is pressing down on Okafor's thigh, looking to free his foot. Okafor is holding on for now.
Okafor is defending against the submission attempts here by DeCoteau.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
