Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Bowy (ranked 2622 p4p, 3792 weight class) and Gubba GU (ranked 284 p4p, 401 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Bowy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gubba GU!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowy delivers a nice body kick.
Bowy scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
GU checks a leg kick.
Bowy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Bowy connects with a leg kick.
Bowy throws a wild body kick that GU sees coming a mile off.
GU scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
GU shoots for a takedown but Bowy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
GU shoots in for a takedown but Bowy shows good takedown defense.
GU throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
GU fails with a takedown attempt.
Luke Bowy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gubba GU.
Bowy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fighters circling - Bowy throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
GU avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
GU takes one on the button.
Bowy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by GU.
Bowy half committed to a counter leg kick.

GU looks to land a combination but Bowy avoids it well.
GU lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Luke Bowy has been cut.
GU on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
GU rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bowy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
GU throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bowy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bowy misses with a kick to the body.
GU changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
GU tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bowy defends well and GU ends up having to push Bowy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bowy looks to land a body kick but GU moved away.
Bowy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
GU lands a left and a right that sends Bowy crashing to the canvas! GU dives into mount looking to finish!
Bowy is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
GU cracks Bowy with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gubba GU!
After winning the bout, Gubba GU thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
