Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Samuels (ranked 4312 p4p, 4306 weight class) and Francis McLaughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 353 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aaron Samuels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francis McLaughlin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuels gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McLaughlin controlling from the top position.
Samuels looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Samuels not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McLaughlin trying to control but Samuels is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLaughlin stays in close to Samuels's body and controls the position.
Samuels had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McLaughlin defends it easily.

Samuels is looking to stand up but McLaughlin isn't so interested in that idea.
McLaughlin passes into half guard.
Samuels is controlling McLaughlin's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Samuels might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Samuels is not content to let McLaughlin control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Samuels tries to sprawl but McLaughlin drives through with a takedown into half guard.

McLaughlin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Samuels sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLaughlin seems to be working for a kimura but Samuels defends the submission attempt.
Samuels wants to improve his position but McLaughlin is controlling well.

McLaughlin is trying to control. Samuels wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
McLaughlin uses his free foot to push down on Samuels's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Samuels.

Samuels tries to improve his position but McLaughlin has taken his back! McLaughlin has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Samuels tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! McLaughlin pushes Samuels away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
