Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Squetsie Doubleday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Squetsie Doubleday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doubleday tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Escobar swivels and escapes.
Doubleday moves in looking to clinch but Escobar pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Doubleday looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Escobar gets a takedown into half guard.

Doubleday looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Doubleday misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Doubleday flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Doubleday tries to get to full guard but Escobar has control of the leg.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Escobar connects with a nice short shot to Doubleday's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Escobar politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Escobar prefers to stall for the moment though.
