Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24682 p4p, 24704 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 24 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 17 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut misses with a kick to the body.
Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. A momentary lapse in concentration from Mibangon enables Buut to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mibangon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mibangon pulls Buut in close to prevent any damage. Mibangon keeping moving, preventing Buut from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon pulls Buut in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mibangon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buut swivels and escapes. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Buut shoots and misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Buut has a takedown stuffed. Mibangon feinted there with a counter leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Buut with that takedown attempt. Mibangon is looking to counter with a body kick. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buut. And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mibangon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Mibangon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Buut for as long as he can get away with. Mibangon in the domination position with Buut hanging on. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Buut shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense. Mibangon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Mibangon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Buut pinned against the cage. Buut gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon with a poor takedown and Buut finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Buut throws a wild body kick that Mibangon sees coming a mile off. Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown but Buut shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Buut tries a quick counter leg kick but Mibangon is wise to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mibangon is defended easily by Buut. Buut now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Buut closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon is looking to regain half guard here but Buut keeps moving and retains side control. Buut is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Mibangon gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mibangon tries to roll over but Buut keeps him under control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mibangon trying to control here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mibangon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buut's guard. Walay Buut has got the better of the ground game so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Mibangon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Buut. Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Buut shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mibangon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Buut controls the pace. Buut is continuing to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mibangon trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buut looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mibangon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Buut tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mibangon is in Buut's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Buut can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mibangon controls the pace. Buut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mibangon stands up from Buut's guard - Mibangon perhaps looking for a knockout. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buut as he jumps to the side. Buut is trying to counter with his kicks. Buut has a takedown stuffed. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Minatay Mibangon. I think Mibangon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
