Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yu Sei Songwong (ranked 4640 p4p, 5348 weight class) and Charles Dune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Dune will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yu Sei Songwong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Dune! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Songwong throws a low kick but Dune avoids it. Songwong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dune pinned against the cage. Dune gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dune throws a counter combo. Songwong takes one to the side of the head.
Dune throws an overhand right that lands on Songwong's shoulder, as Songwong tries to avoid the shot. Songwong tries to clinch but Dune moves out of range. As Songwong backs off Dune throws a huge counter combo but Songwong manages to avoid it all. Dune rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Songwong moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Songwong missing with a left hand there. Dune was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Dune stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Songwong. Songwong pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dune is out of range and Songwong settles back down. Songwong lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Songwong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dune moves away. Songwong goes for a double leg but Dune avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dune continues to drive forward. Songwong will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Dune up against the cage. Songwong holding his opponent close, against the cage.
The referee calls for Songwong to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dune tries to break free but Songwong pushes him back against the cage. Songwong has Dune pressed against the cage, preventing Dune from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dune wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Songwong has him pressed against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Dune's face as he tries to break the clinch. The referee calls for Songwong to work.
Songwong displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dune up against the cage. Songwong gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Come on Songwong - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Yu Sei Songwong. Dune checks a low kick from Songwong. Despite the aggression on Dune's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Songwong misses with a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Dune defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Songwong. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yu Sei Songwong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Songwong looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Songwong lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Songwong shoots in and bounces Dune off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Songwong postures up in Dune's guard and throws a big left but Dune blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Songwong throws a big elbow that misses. Dune has control of Songwong's left arm, preventing Songwong from doing any damage. Songwong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dune has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Songwong has managed to get both his arms back between Dune's legs - danger averted. Dune looks winded! Songwong wants to control from the top but Dune keeps moving. Songwong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Songwong throwing strikes from guard but Dune blocks nicely. Songwong trying to control the position from guard on top but Dune is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Songwong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Songwong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Songwong trying to control the position from guard on top but Dune is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. A nice leg kick from Songwong, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dune stuffs the takedown. Dune takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A nice leg kick lands there from Songwong. Songwong clinches with his opponent.
Dune wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Songwong is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Songwong manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Songwong manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Dune is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Songwong has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dune is looking to defend but Songwong has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dune! Songwong pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dune taps out and this one is all over!
