The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Schmico.
Wife scores with a jab to the body.
Schmico showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wife.
Schmico tries to clinch but Wife is having none of it.

Schmico has closed the distance and engaged Wife in a clinch.

Schmico pulls Wife into guard.

Schmico working for submissions but it's allowed Wife to get to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wife tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Schmico tries to reverse the position but Wife maintains control.
Schmico wants to control but Wife is having none of it.

Wife sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Schmico is looking to improve his position but Wife isn't that keen on the idea.
Schmico slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Wife is controlling the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wife with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wife lands a nice shot to the body.
Wife throws a right and a left that both miss.
Schmico tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Schmico fails with an attempt to clinch.

Schmico moves into the clinch.
Wife throws a punch but it's blocked by Schmico.
Wife throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Schmicos head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wife.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Second Wife dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Schmico takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Fredrico Schmico has been cut.
Schmico moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Schmico keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wife.
Wife misses with a series of wild punches.
Schmico fails to land with a series of punches.
Wife misses with a two punch combination.
Schmico wants to clinch up but Wife keeps it at a distance.
Schmico on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Wife scores with the left hand. Schmico knows he should have avoided that one.

Schmico is rocked!
Wife keeps the fight on the outside.
Schmico is still on wobbly legs! Can Wife finish him?
Second Wife seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wife closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Schmico! Wife dives in looking to finish! Schmico is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
