Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Kamaka (ranked 2374 p4p, 1991 weight class) and Mario Yamasaki (ranked 300 p4p, 260 weight class). Kamaka's entrance music is Carcass - Heartwork. A fine choice. Mario Yamasaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Kamaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Yamasaki! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamasaki gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kamaka swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Yamasaki. Kamaka has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Forge 👊 in the buildup to the fight. Yamasaki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kamaka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Yamasaki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Yamasaki swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Yamasaki catches Kamaka with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Joe Kamaka has been cut. Sloppy strikes from Yamasaki. Those never looked like landing. Kamaka gets a clinch. Kamaka works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Kamaka misses with a punch on the inside.
Yamasaki is trying to push Kamaka away but Kamaka has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kamaka lands a shoulder strike. Kamaka tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Yamasaki avoids it. Yamasaki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kamaka lands on the inside with an uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kamaka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Yamasaki working hard to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kamaka lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kamaka swings wildly with an uppercut but Yamasaki uses good head movement to avoid it. Yamasaki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kamaka lands with a light punch inside. Kamaka pushes Yamasaki back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Yamasaki wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kamaka working Yamasaki over with knees to the body. Kamaka lands with a left to the head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Kamaka. Kamaka misses with a body punch.
Come on Yamasaki - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki working hard to break the clinch. Kamaka changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Yamasaki fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nice body punch from Yamasaki. Kamaka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yamasaki. Kamaka gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kamaka is working for takedown but Yamasaki is calmly controlling the position for now. Kamaka misses with a punch to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamaka fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick misses from Kamaka. It seemed like Yamasaki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kamaka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Yamasaki counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Kamaka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kamaka wants to clinch. Yamasaki scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kamaka throws a wild hook but Yamasaki just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Kamaka gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Yamasaki raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mario Yamasaki! Mario Yamasaki was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. Joe Kamaka was interviewed post fight and said 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors.'.
