Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cert Retsyn (ranked 4563 p4p, 4879 weight class) and Ryal Hoof (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cert Retsyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryal Hoof! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Retsyn throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hoof tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Retsyn is in Hoof's guard. Retsyn trying to control but Hoof is working from the bottom. Retsyn being controlled here momentarily. Hoof looking to hit a scissor sweep but Retsyn is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Retsyn wants to control from the top but Hoof keeps moving. Retsyn preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoof is pulling down on Retsyn's head to control his posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoof enables Retsyn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoof manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Retsyn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hoof trying to control the position here. Retsyn is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoof has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Retsyn wants to control from the top but Hoof keeps moving. Retsyn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hoof really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Retsyn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hoof wants to sweep but no luck. Hoof is pulling down on Retsyn's head to control his posture. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoof lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hoof circles away from the clinch attempt and Hoof counters with a single leg into guard. Retsyn didn't expect that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoof slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Retsyn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Retsyn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hoof gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hoof wants to pass the guard but Retsyn is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Retsyn being controlled here, momentarily. Retsyn keeping full guard, as Hoof tries to pass. Hoof slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hoof is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Retsyn will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Retsyn is not in a great position here, taking some shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cert Retsyn will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Retsyn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Retsyn looking to sit in guard and control but Hoof gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hoof not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Retsyn wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hoof is now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Retsyn won't allow Hoof to pass to mount. Hoof working over Retsyn with some ground and pound. Retsyn looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Still in half guard, Hoof seems content to control. Retsyn trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Retsyn is looking for a sweep. Hoof is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoof controlling the action here. Hoof lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hoof stalling.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Retsyn closes the distance looking to clinch and Hoof counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ryal Hoof showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Retsyn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hoof was covering up waiting for the punch and Retsyn finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hoof looking to hit a scissor sweep but Retsyn is one step ahead there. Hoof bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Retsyn's guard. Hoof looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hoof stays in close to Retsyn's body and controls the position. Let's hope that Hoof has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Retsyn keeping full guard, as Hoof tries to pass. Retsyn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoof is one step ahead there. Retsyn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hoof's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hoof tries to free his leg and advance position but Retsyn is retaining full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Retsyn stuns Hoof with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Retsyn looking to score a takedown here. Hoof is defending well but Retsyn drives through and ends up in Hoof's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Retsyn preventing the sweep. Retsyn loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hoof is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hoof wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hoof striking from his own guard. Retsyn stopping the sweep attempt from Hoof. Retsyn wants to control from the top but Hoof keeps moving. Hoof looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cert Retsyn. I think Retsyn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
