Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Cody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rah Rah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cody's entrance music is Can't tell me nothing-Kanye West. A fine choice. Dylan Cody has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Cody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rah Rah!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rah tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rah moves in looking to clinch but Cody pushes him off.
Rah throws a head kick that misses.
Cody tries a head kick but it misses.
Rah pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cody swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rah.
Rah wants to clinch up but Cody keeps it at a distance.

Rah rushes Cody and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rah lands a nice knee to the body.
Cody wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rah has him pressed against the cage.
Rah throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cody blocks it with crossed arms.
Rah prevents Cody from breaking the clinch.
Rah scores with a knee to the head.
Cody on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cody tries to score a body lock takedown but Rah shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Rah using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cody has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Cody has Rah pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rah manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

and Rah counters with a slapping leg kick.
Cody is breathing heavily.

Rah has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rah lands a nice knee to the body.
Rah misses with a knee strike.

Rah unloads a knee to the mid-section. Cody lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Cody jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rah walks away with a smile on his face. Cody gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cody tries to pull guard but Rah holds him up against the cage and eventually Cody drops back down to his feet.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Rah Rah.

Rah Rah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rah has Cody up against the cage in a clinch.
Rah prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rah crunches a lovely knee into Cody's ribcage.

Horrible takedown by Cody or perhaps it was just good defense by Rah which made him look bad.
Cody shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rah as he avoids it easily.

and Rah counters with a body kick that stops Cody in his tracks momentarily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Cody counters with a series of strikes. Rah will be more careful next time no doubt.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cody. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Cody looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rah is fending him off so far but Cody persists. Nope, Rah circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Rah has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
