Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stefano Del Monte (ranked 2760 p4p, 3765 weight class) and Nathan Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefano Del Monte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathan Cruz! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Monte scores with a hook to the body. Cruz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Cruz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Cruz slips a jab and a cross from Del Monte.
Cruz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cruz avoids the body shot from Del Monte.
Del Monte cracks a nice hook into Cruz's ribs. Nice uppercut lands for Del Monte. That snapped Cruz's head back.
Del Monte lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Del Monte. Cruz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Del Monte fails to land with a series of punches.
Del Monte scores with a one two! Cruz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Del Monte!
Cruz is rocked! Del Monte misses the shot to the body. Cruz is still on wobbly legs! Can Del Monte finish him? Del Monte jabs Cruz to the body, keeping him at a distance. Stefano Del Monte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Del Monte lands a glancing blow to the side of Cruz's head. Del Monte swings for the body but Cruz moves out of range.
Del Monte thuds his right hand into Cruz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Del Monte swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cruz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Del Monte misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cruz.
Del Monte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cruz moves away. Cruz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Cruz misses with a left hand enabling Del Monte to counter with a crisp jab. Del Monte just misses with a punch to the body.
Del Monte jabs at Cruz's body. Del Monte lands a nice shot to the body.
Cruz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Del Monte slips under a jab. Cruz misses with a kick to the body.
Del Monte cracks a nice hook into Cruz's ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooh!!! Del Monte has knocked Cruz down with a huge combo! Del Monte steps away and waves a wobbly Cruz back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Del Monte throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cruz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Del Monte just misses with a punch to the body.
Cruz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Del Monte bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cruz's head backwards. Del Monte looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Del Monte fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Del Monte drops Cruz with a beautiful combination! Cruz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Del Monte is looking for the KO! Del Monte throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Del Monte lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A jab from Del Monte does it's job there. Cruz avoids the body shot from Del Monte.
Del Monte lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Del Monte swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cruz is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Del Monte moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stefano Del Monte!
